Hmmm.......

Well, I've been kinda busy lately, so thats why I haven't been around.

Thanksgiving was good. Pretty quiet. We had my grandma and my aunt and uncle over for lunch.

Today was the last day of the first trimester. Man, where does the time go? My class next tri is first period so I have to get up earlier, which I'm not too thrilled about. I guess I'll just have to suck it up:)

My car konked out on me yesterday. All of a sudden I couldn't turn the steering wheel, which to me didn't seem like a good thing. So I pulled over to the side of the road and pulled out my handy cell phone ( don't you love modern technology? especially when you have a junker car? )
I called my mom to come pick me up. Wait, why did my font change? Darn it!!
Anyways, turns out my power stearing hose is shot and I can't even make it 6 miles without it going dry. Its in getting fixed now and I'm without my car for a couple of days. I have to use the big family suburban. Now thats cool!! ( umm... that was meant sarcastically ) I can't even get out of the school parkin' lot with that beast unless I park in the very back row.

We're going to a different church now. The one we were going to was weird and we finally had it. We're now going to the Baptist church where we already go for youth group. I'm so excited. The people there are so happy and friendly. Our old church was so oppressive and there was no joy there. It was a bunch of rules and " do's " and "don'ts" . It was starting to turn me against Christianity. Ever since we started going to youth group I've gotten more and more on fire for the Lord. I'm excited to go to church now. And thats so awesome!!!!

Tomorrow night, we're having a big slumber party. It'll be nine girls with tons of munchies,junk food, chick flicks and absolutely NO guys in the house. My dad and brothers are going to stay over at my Grandmas house cus they can't stand the thought of being in the house with that many girls!!!! Oh yeah!!! Should be pretty sweet!!!!!!!!!!

Oh No!!! The Hole In The Ozone Layer Is Getting Bigger!!!!!

O.K. , so I was reading the label on the back of my shower gel. It sai: Contains No CFC's or other substances which deplete the ozone layer.

Whew!!! That is such a comfort to know. My main concern when purchasing the shower gel was, " I hope I don't deplete the ozone layer and worsen global warming."

I'm glad I'm not singlehandedly putting a bigger hole in the ozone layer:)

La La La La La ....... I Can't Think Of A Title!!!

Hey Ya'll!!!!

Its been a week since my last post and I suppose I should tell about the lock in I was at last weekend.

Well I'll start by saying that it was a BLAST!!!! So I made it through the night with no sleep and then came home at 7am. slept for only 4 hours and went to work where I got to close so I didn't get home until about 10:30. Whew! We got to the church and I could see through the windows and saw a bunch of kids just in their normal jeans and tshirts. I thought " Oh crap!! We're like the only ones dressed up!! " ( Excuse my French :) ) But we got in there and everyone from our youth group was dressed up and the ones who weren't were from the other youth groups in town. The speakers were good. They talked about the fear of rejection and how we all go around wearing different masks - at school, church, around our friends and even around our families. Then we did karaoke but my bro and sis were too wimpy to get up and sing with me so I decided to be wild and crazy and sing by myself. I sang Avril Lavigne's" Complicated " ( which I later got lectured for by my mom ) I totally tanked. They had judges and lets just say I didn't get first prize. But it was SO fun!! And I'm the type of person who hates to get up in front of people and I didn't inherit my moms singing voice. My sister now regrets not doing karaoke and well she should!!

Oh! I've been using my new locker all week and its been totally awesome. The first day I got it open on the first try and I felt like I could conquer anything. I know, I'm pathetic:) But I've got one of those plaques on my bedroom wall with my name on it and the Biblical meaning of it. My name means Triumphant. But I always hated that meaning cuz I never feel triumphant. I seem to fail at everything. Well, everything except opening my locker!!!

On Wednesday nite some kids from my study group at youth group went to the nursing home in the next town over to visit people. I was the only girl who went except for this punk - rock, goth girl who isn't much different from the guys. But it was fun. I'm not real good at talking to people so it was hard at first but I met this old guy named Kenny. I realized once we got to talking that he had some form of memory loss so we had the same conversation over and over!! He was pretty funny. He kept asking where I lived, if I liked the town I lived in, why I was there, if I was married to my youth leader and so on. Once we left I realized how good my life actually is. I seem to dwell on how crummy I think my little life is. But some people have it way more crummy. Well this post has gotten long enough. I gotta go work tonite. Its my last day at my 2nd pizza job and I'm so excited. I hated that job but it was a good experience. Tootles!!!! Tamoosh

Is this not the most awesome thing ever?! I googled Homeschool Freak and I found this website with all kinds of cool Homeschool clothes. Flippin' sweet!!

So I got to vote for the first time on Tuesday. I feel like an American citizen. Thats so cool!!

I got a new locker. This one actually works!! I went into the highschool office yesterday to complain about my locker and the guidance counselor saw me and said that she had somebody look at it twice and something was definetly wrong with it. DUH!!! At least it wasn't something wrong with me. I was actually able to get this one open. It was so great!!

Our lock-in is tomorrow and I'm totally jazzed!!

So I'm computer challenged and I can't figure out how to put a picture on my profile. I also can't figure out how to add links to all ya'll 's blogs. Cuz you guys are way cool and I don't want to have to go to my old posts to find your links. Any pointers?? Somebody should really teach a class on blogging for dumbos like me:p

Well, gotta bounce. My moms on my case cuz I haven't gotten my school work done today.:) Bye!!!

busy week

Hey Ya'll!! Sorry I haven't been around much. Its been a crazy busy week. Last night my bro, sis and I went shopping. Our youth group has a lock in at the church next Friday. The theme is masquerade. I'm wearing a bridesmaid dress that my mom wore for a wedding way back in the day. My sis is wearing a prom dress we got a few years ago for like $5. I got some big funky purple earrings and a feather boa for my outfit. We were up late last night trying on our costumes. My sister was overtired and hyper and went on and on about how " hot " we looked and how all the guys will hang around us. Me, being the older, more mature one, had to remind her that looking "hot " is not the point of the lock in. She's just mad at me cuz all the teenage boys are in my group at youth group. My sis is in a group for 7th thru 9th grade girls talking about girls issues. Of course there won't be any guys in her group! :)

.............And the locker saga continues. I hadn't touched it in awhile and when I went in to talk to the guideance counselor about my class, I mentioned it. She said she'd have somebody look at it cuz it might just be jammed. O.k. So I go the next day and it still won't open. The kids at there lockers near by gave me weird looks. I'm now convinced that my locker is demon possessed. Maybe I should lay hands on it and pray :) Or maybe the school purposely gave me the dud locker :) Who knows. I've had it.
