I Am Just Me

" Few things in life are more infectious than a Godly lifestyle. The people you rub shoulders with everyday need that kind of challenge. Not prudish. Not preachy. Just honest-to-goodness, bone-deep, non-hypocritical integrity. Authentic obedience to God." - Charles R. Swindoll

Hmmm...Maybe just my life

Well, not much has happened. Its sunny today, so thats good:)

Lets see.... Oh, yesterday I went to use my locker for the first time. I could not get the stupid thing open. I tried and tried and then the bell rang so I stormed off to class with my winter coat. I swear, the school must have those lockers rigged. Its just a stupid combination lock, right?? Oh no!! Now I sound like all those homeschoolers I know who are paranoid and are convinced that the public school is out to get them.

I am now officially the oldest employee at my first pizza job, from here on known as PF. Well, not the oldest. But I've been there the longest, except the owners. All the kids who were there when I started are gone, even kids that started after me have moved on. I've only been there 2 1/2 years. It feels weird. Like I'm being left behind. The last one to leave was this kid Tim who had been there 4 years. He was alittle weird. He would follow me around and just talk. I could have cared less about his stories. He had the dirt on everybody. He knew everything about everybody there. I will miss that. There are 2 cooks in particular that I will miss. Adam and Colton. I worked with them all the time. On weeknights there are only 2 cooks and 1 waitress. On the slow nights we would stand around and talk. One time we played pig with an old doughball. There was another time they ran out of the kitchen trying to scare me. Colton had rolled out dough on his head and tried to look like a ghost. The last night I worked with them I had to educate them on make up. Neither of them have sisters and so they asked me all these questions on makeup and girls. I was happy to oblige. Colton had heard of Clinique but had no clue what it was. I'll miss them. I have to post more stories of them.

Please pray for my dad's good friend Chris. He's getting married this Saturday. He's got 5 kids and the youngest just graduated this year. We were best friends all through elementary school. Chris' wife died 4 years ago from cancer. She had cancer for 15 years!! She had it before their youngest child was born. She was always happy and active. We had alot of stuff going on when my brother (now 12 ) was born. He was really sick and pretty much lived his first 2 years at the childrens hospital. Their family would take care of us when my parents needed to be with my brother. And we would take care of them when their mom was sick or needed to go to cemo and radiation. Chris had a stroke a year and a half ago and hasn't been quite the same. Him and his wife-to-be Elise have only known each other alittle over a year. They got engaged last Halloween. Elise has 2 girls and this is a first marrige for her. They're getting married at a Lutheran church and Chris and his family are Catholic. Chris' kids have said how they don't want anyone to take the place of their mom. Please pray that the kids won't be bitter and that everybody will just get along. Pray that if the opportunity arises, I will be able to talk to the kids. Well, thats all for now folks!!! L8r, Tammy

Well.... Chris told my dad that she had a relationship with a guy and had her first daughter and then he left. Then he came back and she had another girl and he left again and never did marry her. That is so sad:( I really hope it works out for them.

A fine looking young man...

So naive...

Lockers are annoying... my first time I used it I had to get someone to show me how to use a combination lock (which actually should be called a permutation lock...).
